Today, April 14, 2014, Richard Schaefer, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, confirmed that the fight of Canelo vs Lara is now a done deal and that the fight will take place at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, United States of America this coming June 12, 2014. There are approximately three months to prepare for the fight to both boxers. This fight will be aired in pay per view via Showtime / CBS.This is the third time that Canelo Alvarez is fighting in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas consecutively. The first fight was against Mayweather where he got his first defeat in his boxing career and the second one was last March against Alfredo Angulo where he did an impressive victory.
